How to destroy your fantasy team

Last night was the live draft for our Braves Journal fantasy football league. I mentioned that I didn't really have a specific strategy going into the draft....and like I expected, it completely blew up in my face.

Around 7.25 pm I took a seat behind my computer and I found out that I was picking 7th overall. After many nasty expletatives, I came to the conclusion that I would take Steven Jackson if he was availble when my pick came around.
I received another swift kick in my groin when Smitty picked Jackson at number 4. I held back tears and when it was my turn to pick, and it became a debate between Edgerin James or Ronnie Brown.

Being an extremely biased Dolphins fan, it was only logical to pick Brown. I mean, he's ranked in the top 10 of many "expert boards" and he is going to have the best season ever in the history of football...so yeah, Ronnie Brown was going to be the pick.
But somehow something went wrong during the next 4 seconds. My hand scrolled down to Edgerrin James and clicked "draft".
Yes, Edgerrin James who's now going to play for the Cardinals...the WORST rushing team in the league.

After reality sunk in, I started to panic while I looked for the "reset" button. Since this is real life, and the reset button doesn't exist, the only hope I had left was that somehow Ronnie Brown would still be available when I would be picking again in round 2.
That ofcourse is like expecting Paris Hilton to be a virgin on her wedding night. It's just not going to happen..
At pick # 14, my boy Avery nabbed Brown and my downfall was already in motion.

Round 2 came and I was thinking between going with a qb or a receiver. When my pick came, it was going to be between Chris Chambers and Matt Hasselbeck. Again, being a Dolfan, the pick should've been Chambers..because he will have a monster year with Culpepper throwing it to him this season. The experts also have Chambers ranked higher than Hasselbeck so again, Chambers should've been the pick.

Since I can't do anything right, my hand guides my mouse somehow to Hasselbeck and I click the "draft" button. Suddenly I feel like Houston fans after the selection of Mario Williams. WHYYYYYYY....
I started to cling on the false hope that Chambers would be available when it was my turn again in round 3, but that only lasted 6 seconds as Stu picked Chambers right after me.
Stu was already proclaiming his championship...and I was left to gag on my own vomit.

The rest of the draft is pretty much a blur as I was beating my face against the wall in regret. I do remember challenging someone to a bloody fistfight because he took Matt Leinart, and yeah, you know how I hate Matt Leinart.
Anyways, when the dust had settled, yours trully was again the big loser of the group.

WR :Troy Williamson

Yeah, the mvp of my team will probably be Ryan Longwell. I'm trying to do some trades now to get either Ronnie Brown or Kevin Jones, but I'll probably get rejected because I suck and I don't know what I'm doing.

The rest of the members in the league may know use me like a cheap hooker and have their ways with me. That folks, is how you destroy your fantasy team and lose all respect of those around you.
I'll keep updating my humiliation and the many ways that I am getting owned, so feel free to keep pointing and laughing at me. My mother is doing that as we speak...
