Live blog Miami Dolphins @ Carolina Panthers
Anyways, Dick Stockton just referred to Carolina as "Jacksonville" and that sounds like a fitting way to wrap things up. I'm going to pass out on my bed now untill the sunlight awakens me harshly again.
I liked what I saw from Miami's first team defense. The offense isn't totally clicking yet, but when they do it should be very fun to watch.
Culpepper is almost at 100%, Ronnie Brown is a beast and Chris Chambers is going to put up even bigger numbers with C-Pep throwing to him. I even have confidence now in Joey Harrington, should he have to come in and take over in a game.
Special teams did suck tonight so I assume that Nick Saban will be paying extra attention that.
The clock winds down and Carolina wins it 19-10. Miami falls to 1-2 in the preseason while Carolina remains undefeated.
Miami was better on offense and defense, but special teams was the difference in this one.
4thQ 1:56 John Kasay kicks yet another field goal and Carolina is leading 19-10. I want to punch Kasay in his ribs now.
4thQ 4:14 Carolina gets another big punt return and Miami's special teams is looking pathetic. Siragusa could run one back against these guys..
4thQ 7:16 Chris Weinke stood in the pocket for about 2 minutes before he was eventually sacked by Miami's defense. It looked like Weinke just didn't want to throw that ball...
4thQ 9:18 I'll take that back. Miami goes 3 and out, and the punting unit is back again. I'll go play some Spider Solitaire now.
4thQ 10:01 Ah, it's Cleo Lemon time for Miami. Cleo Lemon strikes absolute fear into opposing defenses.
4thQ 11:44 Olindo Mare misses what appears to be an 80 yard field goal. John Kasay would've made that shit probably...
End of the 3rd Quarter and Carolina is still leading 16-10. I'm still waiting for Ricky Manning Jr to bust through my door and kick me in the face.
3rdQ 1:05 Chris Weinke is into the game for Carolina. He should be about 40 years old now since he was 35 when he left Florida State.
3rdQ 2:37 Marcus Vick makes a cameo appearance as he fields a punt. Before I can finish typing this sentence, Miami is punting the ball back again. That was deflating...
3rdQ 7:01 John Kasay gets another field goal, this time it's a 53 yarder and Carolina leads 16-10. Should've drafted John Kasay...
3rdQ 10:03 TOUCHDOWN MIAMI! Joey Harrington throws a rope into the endzone and Chris Chambers makes another fantastic catch. 13-10 Carolina and I'm liking what I'm seeing from Harrington.
3rdQ 12:20 Miami runs a trick play and Ronnie Brown completes a pass to Chris Chambers. Ronnie Brown could count backwards from infinity if he wanted to.
The 2nd half is under way and Joey Harrington is into the game for Miami. The rest of Miami's first team offense is still there. Harrington is smiling for some reason..
In between Joe Buck and Terry Bradshaw, Fox's pregame show will basically be unwatchable. Not even hardened criminals should be exposed to such torture.
Halftime. Carolina 13, Miami 3.
2ndQ 0:45 John Kasay kicks a field goal and Carolina leads 13-3. I wonder if Paul LoDuca has any action on this game...
2ndQ 1:42 Matt Roth just blew up DeAngelo Williams in the backfield. I wish he could run to the sideline and tackle Chris Myers now.
2ndQ 2:14 Tony Siragusa has made fun of Jimmy Johnson's hair, and of Keith Traylor's gut. Tony obviously does not have a mirror in his house.
2ndQ 4:40 I like what I'm seeing from Culpepper. He's wild on some throws, but he has a cannon for an arm and when he gets the timing down with the receivers, things should be sweet. And the fact the he did a QB Sneak, shows that he's trusting that knee..
2ndQ 6:03 That didn't last long. DeAngelo Williams returns the kick-off 98 yards for a touchdown and I'm feeling weak and pathetic yet again. 10-3 Carolina..
2ndQ 6:19 My buddy Roddy just dropped by to visit me. I yelled at him and told him to go away because I'm watching football. As I come back inside, I see Miami kicking a field goal and tying it up at 3-3.
2ndQ 13:11 Carolina stuffs Miami on 4th and goal on the goalline. I feel weak and pathetic.
2ndQ 13:52 Tony Siragusa is in the booth and he is sweating. It doesn't get much worse than that.
Start of the 2nd Quarter and Carolina is still leading 3-0.
1stQ 1:17 Culpepper takes a shot into the endzone and Chris Chambers makes an awesome catch for a touchdown. But, apperantly there was pass interference on Chambers and the 32 yard touchdown catch won't count.
A commercial featuring the Manning family. My retina is actually damaged now.
1stQ 8:51 Tony Siragusa is telling us about Jake Delhomme shuveling horse shit. Yes, only on Fox folks.
1stQ 11:05 Culpepper passes to Ronnie Brown and Miami converts on 3 and 15. The fact that I passed up on Brown in my fantasy draft is already kicking me in the stomach.
1stQ 12:05 Keyshawn Johnson is running around and I remember now why I hate him. Carolina kicks a field goal and is leading 3-0.
1stQ 14:01 Wouldn't you know it. Wes Welker pathetically coughs up the ball and Carolina recovers in Miami territory. Akward..
1stQ 14:15 Carolina goes three and out and has to punt. Crumble before our mighty mighty defense.
8:07 pm Dolphins kick-off and it is a touch back. Carolina to start on their own 20 yard line.
8:06 pm The happy moment is short lived. Tony Siragusa is the "sideline analyst" and I actually threw up a bit.
8:02 pm Great news, as the announcing dou will be Dick Stockton and Darryl Johnston. I was worried about having to listen to Joe Buck and subsequently being put into a vegetable like state..but that won't be the case anymore.
8:00 pm Fox is showing an intro where random players are gitting hit in the face.
7:50 pm Judge Judy sure doesn't mess around. I'm pretty sure that she could beat me senseless in a fist fight.
7:42 pm Some guy on "Judge Judy" is called Ralph Teeters. Hihihihi...Teeters...
7:37 pm I'm listening to "The Final Countdown" and proclaiming Miami's dominance. I don't think it's healthy to be so excited for a preseason game.
7:26 pm "Everybody Loves Raymond" is on. I bet that Raymond could make a better fantasy football team than mine.
Like I mentioned yesterday, I will be live blogging tonight's game between the Miami Dolphins and the Carolina Panthers.
Miami's starters are supposed to be playing into the third quarter today so I'll get a good look at Daunte Culpepper, Ronnie Brown and the rest of those silly kids.

Ok, that question sounds retarded...but you get what I mean right?
Okay, which is the bigger embarassament?
The Carolina Panther's cheerleaders that were doing each other in the bathroom of a bar, or Ricky Williams?
At least the latter has some hygiene.(Notice I said "some") The others were fornicating in a bathroom *stall*. Yuck....

I have read through one history
Each of you has your personal story; it is your history. Keeping a diary or writing your feelings in a special notebook is a wonderful way to learn how to think and write about who you are -- to develop your own identity and voice.
People of all ages are able to do this. Your own history is special because of your circumstances: your cultural, racial, religious or ethnic background. Your story is also part of human history, a part of the story of the dignity and worth of all human beings. By putting opinions and thoughts into words, you, too, can give voice to your inner self and strivings.
A long entry by Anne Frank on April 5, 1944, written after more than a year and a half of hiding from the Nazis, describes the range of emotions 14-year-old Anne is experiencing:
". . . but the moment I was alone I knew I was going to cry my eyes out. I slid to the floor in my nightgown and began by saying my prayers, very fervently. Then I drew my knees to my chest, lay my head on my arms and cried, all huddled up on the bare floor. A loud sob brought me back down to earth, and I choked back my tears, since I didn't want anyone next door to hear me . . .
"And now it's really over. I finally realized that I must do my school work to keep from being ignorant, to get on in life, to become a journalist, because that's what I want! I know I can write. A few of my stories are good, my descriptions of the Secret Annex are humorous, much of my diary is vivid and alive, but . . . it remains to be seen whether I really have talent . . .
"When I write I can shake off all my cares. My sorrow disappears, my spirits are revived! But, and that's a big question, will I ever be able to write something great, will I ever become a journalist or a writer? I hope so, oh, I hope so very much, because writing allows me to record everything, all my thoughts, ideals and fantasies.
"I haven't worked on Cady's Life for ages. In my mind I've worked out exactly what happens next, but the story doesn't seem to be coming along very well. I might never finish it, and it'll wind up in the wastepaper basket or the stove. That's a horrible thought, but then I say to myself, "At the age of 14 and with so little experience, you can't write about philosophy.' So onward and upward, with renewed spirits. It'll all work out, because I'm determined to write! Yours, Anne M. Frank
