No more Daily Quickie

It appears that Dan Shanoff's Daily Quickie column on Espn's Page 2, will come to an end on Thursday, August 31st.
As I read the news, I had some mixed emotions for sure.

There was a time that I actually enjoyed the Quickie. It was part of my morning routine at the office as I would just sit there and not add anything of value to the company. The boss would scream and yell while pointing sharp, rusted objects at me, but still I didn't care. My morning reading came first...

Then after a while the Quickie just became boring. There were better online columns/blogs/sites to visit and suddenly the Quickie and it's format just started to annoy the crap out of me. I found myself reading it just to find stupid Shanoff comments, to then ridicule him like Sam Cassell at a beauty contest. Yes, what an upstanding gentleman I am.

But yeah, I will give him some credit though. If you're writing a column 5 days a week during a 3 year span, it's pretty hard to keep things fresh. Writing the same thing over and over gets old pretty quick, just ask M. Night Shyamalan.

Anyways, I won't miss it all that much. Maybe I will, you never know. I'm just hoping that he takes Skip Bayless along with him...
