Bye Bye Daunte

Well, this isn't exactly a surprise but you know, being a Dolphins fan probably requires me to post this. Miami finally released Culpepper today, something that I've been asking for for a while now.

Miami has already moved on by drafting John Beck and acquiring Trent Green, so it made no sense to keep Daunte on the roster. It was highly unlikely that any team was going to trade for him, so releasing him was the only thing left to do.

Now Pep can move on and try to show a team that he's worth a roster spot and worth a shot and I wish him the best with that. Michael David Smith mentions over at the Fanhouse that the Jags might want to make Culpepper a backup and maybe even have him replace Byron Leftwich so all isn't lost for the former MVP candidate.
