Dwight Howard, meet Patrick Ewing

Continuing with the basketball talk, it looks like Dwight Howard will be getting a new tutor in Orlando. Stan van Gundy has finished filling out his coaching staff and the list includes former Knick great Patrick Ewing, who will be in charge of showing D-Ho how to further dismantle anyone that dares enter the paint.

Patrick Ewing was hired as an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic, filling out Stan Van Gundy's staff.

Brendan Malone, Steve Clifford and Bob Beyer also were hired as assistant coaches, the team said Tuesday.

Ewing, an 11-time All-Star, was a Rockets assistant from 2004-06, and served on the Washington Wizards' coaching staff. He'll work with low-post players, including All-Star Dwight Howard.

Well, if they needed someone to show Howard how to sweat incredible amounts and wear huge knee pads, than Ewing is the right fit. Eh, I'm sorry, I had to get that joke out of the way.

All kidding aside, I think that Ewing is a great guy to help refine Howard's game. I really can't think of many other people that are more qualified to work with D-Ho on his low post game.

I just hope that Howard doesn't take over Ewing's knack of not winning championships.
