At least Cooley can pull it off

** EDITOR'S NOTE : This gallery belongs to the AOL Fanhouse and I had no intention of "stealing" any of their images. I just put some of those pics here and added some commentary because these hairstyles were so amazingly ridiculous. I linked to the Fanhouse twice in my post, and I'll say it again now. This gallery belongs to them and I was just adding commentary to the pictures. That is all. Hopefully I haven't offended or angered anyone.


As I was checking out the NFL Fanhouse today, I came across their gallery of "Best NFL Hair" and it had some pretty interesting gentlemen in there. So yes, I took the time to highlight some of the locks that really stood out from that group.

• Robert Gallery, offensive lineman, Oakland Raiders

That's Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Robert Gallery sporting the "Death Metal guitarist" look very nicely. I guess if Gallery didn't spend his days not blocking defensive lineman, he'd probably be playing guitar in Shadows Fall.

• Chris Cooley, tight end, Washington Redskins

There's Chris Cooley pulling of a hairdo that would look utterly ridiculous on mostly everyone. If I would try and pull that off, I'd get beaten to a bloody pulp. Yet Cooley does it and gets more Redskin cheerleader trim than is humanly possible. Things just aren't fair sometimes.

• Nick Reid, linebacker, K.C. Chiefs

I refuse to believe that Chiefs linebacker Nick Reid actually looks like that. His hair is so ridiculous that it wouldn't even be acceptable for a cartoon, let alone for a NFL linebacker. If I was his teammate, I'd destroy my rib cage from the constant and uncontrollable laughing that would start any time I see him. And really, where did his eyebrows go???

• Tim Hasselbeck, quarterback, New York Giants

When God was handing out hair, the Hasselbeck boys clearly were not invited to that party. If I didn't watch sports, I'd probably guess that Tim was a shoe salesman.

• Zak Keasey, linebacker, San Francisco 49ers

Ah yes, I see that P.O.D. has a new bassist.

• Domata Peko, defensive tackle, Cincinnati Bengals

Plenty of women would kill to have hair like Bengals defensive tackle Domata Peko. Tim Hasselbeck would kill just to be able to do a simple combover.

• Cory Ohnesorge, punter, New York Giants

There just aren't enough words to describe this one. That's Giants punter Cory Ohnesorge doing his best to look like someone from the Brady Bunch movie. Punter is basically the only position you can play in the NFL if you look like that. I mean, I can seriously say that I've never seen someone look that awkward before in my life. Our buddy Nick Reid up there is also sporting an awful 'do but at least he doesn't give us the crazy eyes like Cory.
