Joey Porter might need surgery on that knee

It looks like Joey Porter's knee isn't doing that great. Porter missed practice again today and he might even be needing surgery.

Dolphins outside linebacker Joey Porter missed Monday's morning practice to see prominent knee surgeon Dr. James Andrews for a second opinion on his right knee, which began bothering him again late last week. Arthroscopic surgery is possible.

You never want to hear a player on your team associated with Dr. James Andrews. Andrews is the best doctor in the biz, but when he's involved, you know that something is horribly wrong with that player's body. Channing Crowder also left practice today but it's not known yet why he left before practice was over.

Miami's defense figures to be the team's heart and soul again but here's hoping that the unit will be complete. Yeremiah Bell already hurt himself in camp, Crowder left for some reason today and Porter might be needing surgery. That's not really what you want to be hearing with pre-season just a few days away.
