Porter likely to miss entire pre-season

With Miami's first pre-season game on Saturday, you can get ready for some increased Dolphins talk around here. Yesterday I mentioned that Joey Porter was going to see Dr. James Andrews and it turns out that doctor Andrews decided to take a look inside that knee.

Porter had arthroscopic knee surgery today and will likely miss the entire pre-season.

"They decided to go in and take a look at it," Dolphins coach Cam Cameron said. "They do say it's something minor".

Porter went through the same thing in '05 when he needed arthroscopic surgery on his left knee which made him miss all of that pre-season. He returned to play every game that season as the Steelers went on to win the Superbowl.

I'd wish for the same outcome now but I'm not that delusional.
