True the punishment for typically white starlets found with drugs is usually more than when the common folk is found with it, but anyone who thinks Michael Vick doesn't deserve his prison sentence is nuts. This ain't a case like Ray Lewis (IMO) where they were shaking him down to turn on his buddies. This guy was the Boss Hogg of dog fighting. The Cali Cartel were only slightly more organized!

The only thing Vick didn't need was those nutjob animal rights activists who care more about animals than people making a scene to further their anti-meat-eating cause. But I suppose one nutjob begets several others in this sense.

I mean how do you put your entire career at risk like this? You're the face of a franchise. In some senses the face of the league! How the hell do you get involved in that? How do you not come to a point, oh say when you sign your $130M contract and take out loans to rent cars and buy houses and crap, how do you not stop and say "you know what? maybe I should disconnect myself from this." If even I'm going to watch or participate, I'm gonna make sure I use cash and money orders, wear a wig, and be incognito at best. At BEST. At worst - trade in the dog killing hobby for a Wii.
